Built for retrieve crew who need a live picture without installing oziTarget Map on the phone. Live Tracking is a ProPack feature (included in the 14-day trial).
Live map on your phone
See the pilot’s position, track, altitude, speed, and heading on an offline-friendly street or satellite map. A projected heading line and a dashed line to the current goal keep retrieve simple.
Up to three pilots
Add a name, the pilot’s email or Tracking ID, and the security key. Cycle between pilots on the Live view. Export and import the list if you switch phones — treat that file like a password.
Open in a nav app
Navigate to the pilot or a selected goal in Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze. Units (feet or metres, km/h or knots) stay on the device.
Shared goals & crew wind
Fetch waypoints the pilot tagged Share. Send a magnetic wind direction back from a goal or the live nav point. The desktop Crew Data tool shows the last push and can draw it on the map.

Set up the phone
- 1 In oziTarget Map, open Settings → Tracking → Copy to get the email, Tracking ID, and security key.
- 2 On the phone, open crew.ozitarget.com and add a pilot (email or Tracking ID plus the key). Email is converted to a Tracking ID the same way as the desktop app.
- 3 Turn on Send tracking in the desktop app so the crew app can see the live position.
- 4 On the phone, use Live for the map. Fetch goals after the pilot shares them (Options → Share goals with crew, or Share goals in Tools → Crew Data).
- 5 Add the site to the Home Screen in Safari or Chrome for a standalone Crew icon.
After a site update, open crew.ozitarget.com in the browser first, then the Home Screen icon, so the phone picks up the new version.
Working with the desktop
Share goals from the desktop so crew can tap a named waypoint. Tag those waypoints Share, then use Options → Share goals with crew or Share goals in Tools → Crew Data. On the phone, fetch goals from the live card.
When crew send wind, the desktop Tools → Crew Data (toolbar car icon) shows the last waypoint and magnetic direction. Draw it on the map, pan to the point, or add a waypoint there. You can auto-open the tool and play a chime when a push arrives.
Pilot and crew can also share one signed-in account on two computers and Get each other: set Your details to Pilot on one machine and Crew on the other, add the same email on the Get list, and set that row Type to the other role. Ground Control still needs a separate signed-in account.
Test before you fly

The tracking simulator starts a cloud playback session that uploads two test pilots for ten minutes, including a goal waypoint at each track end. Use it to confirm Get tracking, bubbles, and goals without waiting for a real balloon.
Copy the Tracking IDs and security keys from the sim page (they are shown there for Sim Pilot A and Sim Pilot B). Do not use those test IDs as a real contest or retrieve identity.
- 1 Open sim.ozitarget.com and note the two test pilots shown there (Sim Pilot A and Sim Pilot B), including Tracking IDs and security keys.
- 2 In oziTarget Map, open Tracking settings and add both test pilots to the Get list with those IDs and keys.
- 3 Enable incoming / retrieve tracking (ProPack cloud points). Optionally turn on Show Goal Waypoint on each pilot bubble.
- 4 Click Start Simulator on the sim site. It uploads both tracks for 10 minutes at 1 Hz, even if you close the tab.
- 5 Watch positions, DTG / BRG / ETE, and goal waypoints update on the map — then use the same Get list pattern for real crew.
