What changes when you move from Ozi Explorer and oziTarget to the all-new oziTarget Map — licences, subscriptions, and how your existing oziTarget purchase is treated.
Licensing
oziTarget Map is a new piece of software, separate from Ozi Explorer and oziTarget. It requires the purchase of a licence to use beyond the fully featured 14-day trial.
The Standard licence is for the life of the product and includes unlimited updates. Activation requires sign-up and online activation, but after that the software runs without an internet connection in Standard mode — except when performing an update or using a ProPack subscription.
Activation after purchase is instant: no licence files or numbers to enter, and no waiting for an order to be processed.
ProPack subscription
The ProPack subscription is similar to the original oziTarget, with a few key changes:
- 1 Subscriptions can be monthly or annual, and cancelled at any time — pay for a single month if that's all you need for the year.
- 2 Subscriptions are handled online, so they activate immediately without waiting for an order to be processed or a licence file to be sent.
- 3 Your device can stay offline during the subscription period and won't need to check in until the subscription is ending.
What about my existing ProPack?
Users with an existing oziTarget ProPack subscription can use the balance of their subscription period with both the original oziTarget and oziTarget Map.
When you purchase your Standard oziTarget Map licence, the ProPack subscription is manually activated until it is due to expire. Because this is a manual process, if you don't see ProPack become active in oziTarget Map, drop us an email and we'll sort it out.
Note: as a manual job it may be subject to timezones, work, sleep, and other delays. This dual use applies only to existing oziTarget ProPack users — ProPack subscriptions purchased for oziTarget Map cannot be activated in the original oziTarget.
What if I just purchased oziTarget?
All purchases of the original oziTarget after January 2026 will be eligible for a discount on an oziTarget Map Standard licence. Exactly how this works and how much the discount will be is still being worked out — check back here for details soon, or get in touch.
